Task Planner

Task Planner

Organize your day with unlimited tasks, due dates, and smart sorting.

The Tasks section is your personal to-do board. Unlike habits (which are recurring), tasks are for one-time things you need to get done.

Creating tasks

  • Open the Tasks section from the sidebar.
  • Click 'Add Task' and enter a clear title (e.g. 'Buy groceries', 'Finish report').
  • Add an optional description for more details. Set a due date if there's a deadline.
  • Save — your task appears on the task board. Mark it complete with one click when done.
  • Completed tasks are automatically archived. You can delete tasks anytime.
Example: Planning your workday
  1. 1Create task: 'Finish quarterly report' — due Friday, with description 'Include Q3 sales data'.
  2. 2Create task: 'Call client at 3 PM' — due today, no description needed.
  3. 3Create task: 'Buy gift for sister' — due Saturday, add note 'Budget 1,000 BDT'.
  4. 4Throughout the day: check off tasks as you complete them.
  5. 5End of day: review what's left and reschedule if needed.

Task vs Habit vs Plan — when to use which

  • Use Habits for recurring daily/weekly actions with no end date: 'Morning walk', 'Read 10 pages', 'Meditate'.
  • Use Plans for a finite, day-by-day program with a clear finish line: '90-day IELTS prep', a fitness challenge, a course.
  • Use Tasks for one-off items: 'Submit tax return', 'Buy birthday present', 'Fix the faucet'.
  • If it repeats forever, it's a habit. If it has a defined number of days, it's a plan. If you do it once, it's a task.
Example: Habit vs Task decision guide
  1. 1'Go for a run' → Habit (if you run regularly) or Task (if it's a one-time fun run)
  2. 2'Pay electricity bill' → Task (you pay it once per month, it's not daily)
  3. 3'Study Spanish 20 min' → Habit (daily recurring action you want to track)
  4. 4'Prepare for a certification exam over 60 days' → Plan (day-by-day, finite, has an end date)
  5. 5'Plan weekend trip' → Task (one-time project with multiple steps)

Task management tips

  • Review your task board every morning. Prioritize what's due today.
  • Use descriptions to store links, notes, or checklists within a task.
  • Don't overload — keep 3-5 active tasks at a time for better focus.
  • Completed tasks are archived automatically — track your productivity over time.
